Sarah Webb is a writer and former children’s bookseller who writes for both adults and children. Her nine adult novels to date include the Irish bestsellers Always the Bridesmaid, When the Boys are Away and Anything for Love (all Pan Macmillan). She is the author of the young teen series, Ask Amy Green (Walker Books/Candlewick), described by The Scotsman as ‘funny, lively and thought-provoking’ and the middle grade series The Songbird Café Girls (Walker Books 2015).
After working for many years as a children’s bookseller and consultant, Sarah now combines writing with visiting schools, reviewing for the Irish Independent and volunteering at the creative writing centre Fighting Words, whose collection of short stories Beyond the Stars she edited. She is the Children’s Curator of the Mountains to Sea Book Festival in Dublin, which has one of the largest children’s programmes in the country, and is on the board of Children’s Books Ireland, the Irish trust for children’s books.
Sarah lives by the sea in Dublin with her partner and three children.
