Mary Killen & Giles Wood
Agent: Julian Alexander
Mary and Giles appear on Channel 4’s much loved Gogglebox and their dry sense of humour and sarcastic one-liners have made them firm favourites with viewers.
Mary writes The Spectator’s ‘Dear Mary’ column and is a self-professed expert in etiquette, answering questions on how to tip your hat to how to hand out rejection. She began her writing career at Tatler and is the author of a number of witty etiquette bibles including How the Queen Can Make You Happy.
Giles is renowned for his no-nonsense opinions and dry quips, whether it’s his opinion on Australians, or how much chickenfeed he’d buy with Grand National winnings. He is an artist and contributes to The Oldie magazine, which is a light-hearted alternative to a press obsessed with youth and celebrity
Although Mary has authored several books herself, The Diary of Two Nobodies (Virgin Books) gives readers a co-authored insight into a marriage of polar opposites: a man who sees himself as a cross between Mr Bean and Basil Fawlty sharing his life with a woman who identifies with the Queen.
