Andrew Williams is a distinguished writer, producer and director of documentaries for the BBC. His first book, The Battle of the Atlantic (BBC Books, 2003), accompanying Andrew’s documentary of the same name, was a Sunday Times bestseller. The Battle of the Atlantic won the Mountbatten Maritime Prize and a New York Film Festival Prize. His second book, also tied to a documentary series directed by Andrew, was the highly acclaimed D-Day to Berlin (Hodder, 2005).
His novels The Interrogator (Hodder, 2009), To Kill a Tsar (Hodder, 2011) and The Suicide Club (Hodder, 2015) have all been published to great acclaim. Andrew's most recent novel, The Poison Tide (Hodder, 2013), is a tense and evocative story of a spy undercover during the First World War. Witchifinders (Hodder, 2019) is a brilliant novel of espionage and betrayal set in 60s London during the Cold War.
