Nick Danziger gained an MA at the Chelsea Art School, before becoming a visiting lecturer in the UK. In 1982 he was awarded the Winston Churchill Memorial Fellowship which funded his epic journey from London to Peking on one visa - the subject of Danziger's Travels, the first of his three classic bestselling travel books. In 1991 he made his Prix Italia-winning video diary, War, Lives and Videotape. He is a dazzlingly talented photo-journalist, artist, film-maker, writer and buccaneering adventurer.
