Alison Weir number 20 in New York Times Bestseller List

Alison Weir's Lady in the Tower has hit number 20 in the New York Times NonFiction Bestseller list for the end of January.

It tells the story of the imprisonment and execution of Queen Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII. Her prosecution and death were unprecedented in English history and the whole episode has left historians puzzled for many years.

Did she die at the command of Henry to make way for Jane Seymour or was it Master Secretary Thomas Cromwell who plotted to get rid of her for his own reasons?

"...Captivating, intelligent, no-nonsense prose...even readers with no prior knowledge will be drawn into the human drama..." --Literary Review
